Four Ways to Bid at Nye & Company
Our auctions are free and open to the public. The auctions last approximately 6-8 hours and attendees are free to come for one lot or stay for the entire sale. There is ample seating and standing room on the auction floor and the surrounding rooms. At the opening of each lot, the auctioneer will announce the lot number and starting bid. To place a bid, raise your paddle and await acknowledgement from the auctioneer. The lot will close after the auctioneer has issued Fair Warning and Last Call, at which time he will indicate the winning bidder and hammer price.
To register for in-house bidding, please complete the Bidder Registration Form (right)—or, visit us at our showroom 20 Beach Street, Bloomfield NJ 07003 where we will be happy to register you. Upon arrival, you will need to provide state-issued photo identification and a valid credit card, as well as any applicable tax documentation.
Live auctions are held for “Estate Treasures,” “Collectors’ Passion” auctions. “Backyard” auctions are online only (no live auction).
